Jennifer Gardner Senior Director for Member and Industry Engagement IBHS
Ms. Gardner is the Senior Director for Membership and Industry Engagement at the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS). In her current role, she provides support to IBHS members and engages with the insurance
industry on the latest IBHS research.
Prior to joining IBHS, Jennifer held multiple roles in her 12-year tenure at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, most recently as the catastrophe risk and resilience
research manager in the catastrophe modeling center of excellence. She also held roles as business analyst for the State-Based-System and research and statistical manager in the property casualty regulatory services division.
In her time at NAIC, Jennifer helped state insurance regulators collect data on catastrophic claims and losses, developed several financial and statistical publications, including the Profitability By Line By State Report and
the Competition Database Report, and supported numerous property and casualty committee groups. Her committee support roles spanned various topics including statistical data reporting, crop insurance, title insurance, the sharing
economy, and climate risk and resilience.
Scott St. George Head of Weather & Climate Research Willis Towers Watson
Scott St. George is a climate and Earth scientist with expertise in water security, climate change and natural hazards. He works as Head of Weather & Climate Research at WTW, a global insurance broking, risk management, and advisory
firm. Previously, Scott was associate professor of geography at the University of Minnesota and a research scientist with the Geological Survey of Canada. He is a Fellow of Germany’s Alexander von Humbolt Foundation and has served
as honorary professor at Queen’s University and St. Francis Xavier University in Canada. Scott has a Ph.D. in geosciences from the University of Arizona.
