Every year, IIAW Emerging Leaders hosts a holiday party and fundraiser for a local cause. This year the Emerging Leaders is fundraising for at least three different Humane Societies across the state! You can view the blog post here which includes details of which humane societies, how to donate (both monetary and physical items) as well as a wish list for each organization. 

Any physical items can be brought to the Great Dane Brewery (Eastside) on January 26th during the Holiday Party or dropped off at the office ahead of time (please confirm with Evan, evan@iiaw.com, if dropping off beforehand).

Here is the agenda for the Holiday Party:

1PM - 3PM: Presentation, "State of the Industry and Government/Regulatory Update". This presentation will provide a look back at industry data by diving into the Market Share Report, Agency Universe Study as well as looking at market conditions and economic indicators that impact the insurance industry. The second half of the presentation will include a State & National regulatory and legislative update that includes a discussion on potential new regulations and legislative proposals impacting agents. The presentation will also examine and discuss the various roles each branch of government plays at each level, the role of the NAIC, NCOIL and other quasi-government institutions that are involved in the creation of insurance public policy. Finally, we will discuss how the IIAW has played an instrumental role in championing and defeating recent legislation and how you can get involved in being a voice for your industry.  (2 WI CE Credits Approved)

3PM - 4PM: Gift Exchange ($25 limit): After the presentation, we will host a gift exchange. Everyone should bring a wrapped gift ($25, new item). The gifts will be placed in the middle while everyone takes turns picking a gift. After the first person selects a gift, they open it and the next person can either steal an already opened gift or they can select a new gift from the pile of unopened items.
