COURSE SUMMARY

“Less Risk, More Reward” is an interactive seminar that looks at the risks of Error & Omission claim for an independent insurance agency. This course will serve as an educational opportunity for insurance professionals to consider their ethical obligations from both a legal perspective and how it can effect their exposure to E&O claims and allegations.  The session reminds an agency of the benefits (rewards) for honest business practices and strong internal practices; both practices provide a positive customer experience. It is important to raise awareness of an agents fundamental obligation to operate with the customer’s best interest in mind and how failing to do so results in negligence and E&O vulnerabilities. This seminar will utilize claim statistics, case studies, storytelling, and questionnaires to provide an engaging environment for participants to learn in.

Topics covered include: Agency defenses to E&O claims (documentation, consistent procedures and exposure checklists), E&O claim statistics, E&O Exposures when using social media and understanding standard of care and duty to advise, understanding negligence & agents duties (required). 

CONTINUING EDUCATION
This webinar course is approved for 3 hours of Wisconsin continuing education ethics credit. Attendees must be present during the webinar to receive Ethics CE credits and answer individual poll questions.
