COURSE TOPICS

Examine coverage for a Named Insured versus protection for other individuals or entities who are named as insureds within various commercial liability policies. Discover potential gaps in coverage a client needs because of a contractual commitment. Analyze “automatic insureds” such as partners of a partnership, members of a joint venture, officers, directors and stockholders of a corporation, members and managers of a limited liability company, trustees of a trust, newly acquired or newly formed subsidiaries, prior entities of the named insured, employees, volunteer workers or any person or entity who: hires the named insured to perform work; enters into a contract with the named insured; rents or leases real or personal property to the named insured; represents the named insured; and Is a creditor of the named insured. Examine the extent of derivative or vicarious liability provide by the typical additional insured endorsement.
