Participants will learn that the law is not static and that the standard of care imposed by statutory or judicial rulings vary and agents must operate in a constantly changing environment.  The program will communicate that insurance agents and adjusters will want to work at the highest level of professional, social, and legal responsibility.  By doing so, he or she will reduce, but realistically not eliminate, the chances of an errors and omissions (E&O) claim.  Participants will gain an understanding of what causes ethical problems and how proper procedures and documentation can be implemented to prevent or reduce unethical behavior or errors and omissions claims.  Real life examples from today’s insurance marketplace and national news will be used throughout the program to show participants how to deal with ethical issues they encounter their own insurance relationships.
