What are online courses?

The IIA of Wisconsin has partnered with Agents & Brokers Education Network (ABEN) to bring relevant and professionally produced insurance education and training to independent agents via live Webcast technology. The IIAW is the 20th state to partner with ABEN to bring online CE offerings to our members. ABEN's live Webcasts will stream professional instructors right to your office, along with related course material and the ability to ask questions and chat with other students.

How do I register?

Users must create a login and register before participating in an ABEN Webcast. Our course catalog will be updated as new content becomes available.

Do I get CE credits for attending a Webcast?

Yes!  In order to receive a Certificate of Completion for participating in a Webcast, attendees must document their participation during the program.  As you watch the Webcast, you will look for four (4) unique Attendance Verification code letters.  Each part of the code consists of a single letter. Together, these four letters form a four-part code that documents your participation in a CE program.  Each letter will be broadcast at least 2 separate times. After you see the second letter, the first letter will not be broadcast again.  The remaining letters will follow in the same fashion.

When you see an Attendance Verification code, jot it down. If you have already copied down a letter, you can ignore it when it is repeated. The final code will consist of four different letters (for example: C, K, M, T). At the end of the program you will have a four letter code that you must enter to confirm your attendance. As soon as the course ends click on the tab marked "Certificateā€ and enter the four code letters in the order you received them.

If the codes are entered correctly, a Completion Certificate will be issued. This certificate serves as proof of attendance for your personal records.  The IIAW will file the CE credit electronically within 10 days of completion of a course. If you do not enter the codes at the conclusion of the Webcast, you have 2 business days following the completion date to log the codes. No CE credits will be filed if the verification codes are not entered within 2 business days.

Can we view a Webcast as a group?

Yes! Multiple agents from your office can view the same Webcast at the same time. Through ABEN, members have the ability to purchase a Webcast for multiple staff members at discounted rates. Webcasts can be viewed in a group setting while still providing individual CE tracking and reporting. To take advantage of this opportunity, click the link below.
